GREEN EXHIBITOR AWARD
Promoting environmental sustainability is a key priority for the AAGBI. That’s why we’ll be recognising best practice in environmental sustainability through the launch of our new Green Exhibitor Award at Annual Congress 2017. The Green Exhibitor Award recognises and awards companies who can demonstrate examples of best practice in environmental sustainability at Annual Congress 2017 by:

  • reducing their environmental impact at Annual Congress 2017 (less paper, waste, energy and transport)
  • using inventive environmental ideas for stand merchandise and giveaways

A prize will be awarded to the most creative and environmentally-friendly ideas, which will be judged by a panel of AAGBI Officers. The winner, who will also receive a 20% discount on booking their stand at WSM London or Annual Congress 2018, will be announced during the new environment session at Annual Congress 2017 on Thursday 28 September 2017 between 15:45-17:15.

 Support SAFE Africa

In Africa millions of people lack access to safe anaesthesia, something that we take for granted in the UK. That's why the AAGBI have launched SAFE Africa, a new two-year campaign to raise £100,000 to help improve  anaesthesia care and education in Africa.

Five great ways you can support SAFE Africa

  1.  SAFE Africa cycle: whether you're a cyclist or a sponsor the 219 mile route from London to Liverpool (and Annual Congress 2017) is a great way to raise money for the AAGBI’s new fundraising campaign. More.
  2. Annual Congress 5K Fun Run: pack your trainers and join us for a run around the Liverpool Docklands at 7am on Thursday 28 September 2017. More.

  3. Donate online: don’t forget to make a Gift Aid declaration so that we can claim 25% tax back on your donation. Donate online here.

  4. Fundraise at Annual Congress 2017. Let us know if you would like to donate in person at Annual Congress 2017 by emailing safeafrica@aagbi.org.

  5. Do it your own way! Let us know how you plan to support SAFE Africa by emailing safeafrica@aagbi.org.
